CERM STEERING COMMITTEE

The CERM Project is managed and coordinated by a Steering Committee comprising representatives of the key stakeholders, chaired by UWI and UTT representatives. Steering Committee Members provide directives for the Project and are responsible for mobilising personnel and resources within their respective organisations to achieve the CERM objectives

MEET THE WORKING GROUPS

The CERM Team - Steering Committee, Technical Working Groups, Business Development Groups and Administration - consists of staff from the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries, PETROTRIN, the National Gas Company, the National Energy Corporation, UWI and UTT. Over 25 professionals are working together to create a sustainable and prosperous future for Trinidad and Tobago. The Working Groups and Administration are managed by the Project Coordinator to achieve the directives provided by the Steering Committee. There are eight Working Group Leaders who oversee the activities of their individual Working Groups and report progress to the Project Coordinator, Dr. Lorraine Sobers.

Dr. Lorraine Sobers

CERM Project Coordinator

​Dr. Lorraine Sobers is a Lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering at UWI, St. Augustine. She is a Reservoir Engineer with specialization in Enhanced Oil Recovery, PVT and Carbon Storage.
She has presented at several technical and socio-economic conferences locally and regionally on is-sues arising out of CO2 EOR, CO2 emission reduction in Trinidad and Tobago as a Small Island Development State.
Dr. Sobers has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas Tech University, as a Fulbright Scholar. Dr. Sobers received her Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College London in 2012. She is an SPE Certified Petroleum Engineer.
